A seasonal Japanese custom ‘Changing your wardrobe’

Traditionally, we change the clothes in our closet twice a year, known as koromogae, in June and October, in accord with the changing seasons. It’s just a custom and not a duty, but many companies and schools have a winter and summer version of uniforms. Generally, the uniforms are thick clothes in dark colors for winter and lighter-colored, light clothes for summer.
