Lucky Bag at Japanese department stores – try your luck

Most department stores in Japan sell lucky bags on January 2nd.

The bags usually contain goods that are much more valuable than the price of the bag. A lucky bag is a set of various blind items. In 2005, two other department stores each sold a bag valued at 20.05 million yen.

Other unique bags offer vacation packages or even houses.
