Coming of Age day – January 11th Holiday in Japan

The second Monday of January – this coming Monday  - is “Seijun no hi” (Coming-of-age Day) in Japan.People celebrate this day to welcome the young men and women, who have turned or will turn the age of 20 during the current year, as new members of society. 20 year old is legal age in Japan. Women wear Furisode – the most gorgeous form of Kimono and men also wear Hakama – Men version of Kimono.
